The Pomona Harvest Festival Pioneers Community Service and
Philanthropy
AT&T Pioneers selected as the official charity of the Pomona Harvest Festival

(Pomona, CA May 2008) As a family-oriented show, the Pomona Harvest Festival recognizes the vital need for dedicated community service and local volunteering. This year, December 5-7, 2008 at the Fairplex-LA County Fairgrounds , the show has selected the AT&T Pioneers as the official volunteer organization to benefit from a portion of the proceeds from shopping bag sales and all of the parcel check revenue.

Handmade holiday stockings will be provided by exhibitors and Harvest Festival staff. A contest will be held for the best stocking, with Harvest Festival making a $200 donation to AT&T Pioneers in the name of the winner. The winner will be determined by votes dropped into a drawing box. Attendees can "donate" goodies to fill the stockings, and any of those donations will be accepted at the bag booth or parcel check.

The AT&T Pioneers are part of the TelecomPioneers, the world’s largest public charity comprised of industry related volunteers. Founded in 1911, the AT&T Pioneers work to improve the quality of life in their surrounding communities. The organization participates in literacy programs, disaster relief, environmental preservation, and many other community causes.

shopping. There will be hundreds of artisans from around the country displaying over 24,000 American handmade items, including jewelry, clothing, gourmet food items, original art, toys, home décor and more!

The Harvest Festival was recently acquired by Western Exhibitors, a small,
family-owned company that has produced gift and home furnishing trade shows on the West Coast for more than 65 years. Under their new management, the Harvest Festival has returned to its roots by offering a variety of entertainment and good old family fun. Designed to provide guests with the ability to purchase personalized gifts for themselves or family and friends, the Harvest Festival is a delightful shopping experience for everyone.
